Speciality Doctor - Mixed Adult Acute
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Speciality Doctor - Mixed Adult Acute to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Stapleton, Bristol area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This is one of UK's leading hospitals for the treatment of individuals, families and couples facing a wide range of psychiatric conditions
As the Doctor your key responsibilities include:
• Work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist to provide continuous medical cover on a daily basis to the patients on the ward
• You will care for patients referred to the unit from local NHS trusts and those further afield
• You will be responsible for clerking in new patients and reviewing their mental/physical state throughout the working week
• Participate in developing treatment plans and programmes as appropriate to ensure good medical practice within the MDT settings
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• 12 months’ adult psychiatry experience
• Relevant experience within a similar setting
• Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
• Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and Code of Practice along with Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
• Ability to interview, assess and treat patients and write clear comprehensive medical notes
• Previous mental health inpatient experience desirable
• Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists, Physicians, General Practitioners or equivalent
• Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
The successful Doctor will receive an excellent salary around £85,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
