It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in Seaton, Devon. This is a permanent role, with both part time and full time contracts up to 37.5 hours per week available. Sense are offering a Support Worker £9.75 per hour.

You will join our fantastic team here at Seaton who are friendly and welcoming. Together we will make the day to day the best it can possibly be for both you and the people you will support. Our most recent CQC report made us feel like our hard work was noticed. Our shifts pattern vary and you may be required to work during evenings and weekends. As a support worker, you will support the individuals with a wide range of in-house activities and community facilities where possible, you will need to come up with ideas and solutions to make the most out of every day. The adults we support have varying levels of visual impairment, hearing impairment and health conditions.

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing. We have a great relationship with our community and do like to visit various pubs and cafes. We also have great facilities in the house that we like to use, including a sensory shower, sensory room and an activity room. We have a newly decorated Sensory room which is exciting and stimulating for the individuals who live here

To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Support Worker, Seaton, Devon Desired Experience:

It is beneficial if you have a full manual UK license however it is not essential.
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
